2018 Mid-Atlantic Regional Planning Roundtable   The Maryland Department of Planning (MDP), Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (MWCOG), Wilmington Area Planning Council (WILMAPCO), Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC), and Baltimore Metropolitan Council (BMC) will host the 2018 Mid-Atlantic Regional Planning Roundtable. The event will take place on Tuesday, June 19th at University of Baltimore William H. Thumel Sr. Business Center in Baltimore, MD.   The Mid-Atlantic Roundtable continues a series of forums, running since 2005, to foster communication and address the urgent need to work collaboratively to solve present and future regional challenges. The roundtable allows public and private partners, with common goals, to share resources and collaborate on plans, projects, and a variety of contemporary issues. This year’s topics will include: Commercial Real Estate Trends, Mega Regions Discussions and Major Rail Station Redevelopment Efforts. Certified planners may earn certification maintenance credits (pending).   Planners, elected officials, and the public are invited to attend this event.   The event is free and is limited to the first 120 registered attendees. Lunch will be provided.  Registration and Continental Breakfast will start at 8:30 A.M.   About the Planning Roundtable The Mid-Atlantic Regional Planning Roundtable forums are held in response to the need to look beyond individual planning regions and foster communication and coordination between regions on transportation issues. Roundtable events seek to: Showcase regional planning and cooperation in the host region. Include metropolitan and non-metropolitan perspectives in relation to State and Federal policy and resources. Feature current and long-term issues relevant to local and regional development challenges for the Mid-Atlantic States and regions. Involve academic and institutional regional research to utilize existing knowledge and develop new and expanded regional and multi-regional resources to support and inform planning and implementation at all levels. The University of Baltimore Business Center is just steps from the AMTRAK Penn Station that is also served by MARC train service. Discounted parking is available for $7 at the University of Baltimore Maryland Avenue garage located at 1120 Maryland Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21201 (validation provided during check-in). No cash is accepted at the UB Maryland Avenue garage
