Baltimore SEMAA/BMAA program delivers: hands-on/inquiry-based K-12 curriculum that is aligned to the National Math, Science, and Technology standards; Family Café which is an interactive forum for parents and adult family members; Aerospace Education Laboratory (AEL), a state-of-the-art, electronically-enhanced computerized classroom that offers participants the opportunity to experience real world challenges in aviation through its unique science research stations; and the STARLAB Portable Planetarium which exposes students and parents to astronomy, weather patterns, navigation etc.

The Baltimore SEMAA/BMAA program at Morgan State University is free and open to ALL Maryland students in grades K-12 and their parents. During the summer, there are four (4) one-week sessions when classes meet Monday through Friday. All classes are conducted in the Science Complex from 9:00 am to 1:00 p.m. To accomplish this level of success, we establish partnerships with various communities. The partnerships provide the support and skills to impact the underrepresented students in many positive ways, thus ultimately contributing to the pool of talented scientists and researchers in STEM fields. The SEMAA activities are not intended to replace science and mathematics instruction in schools, but to provide support to schools by offering science and mathematics enrichment projects to encourage student interest and success in science, mathematics, engineering and technology.

Our 2017 SUMMER STEM DAY CAMP REGISTRATION is now available. The session will start on Monday, June 26, 2016 and run for four consecutive weeks. Classes start at 9:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m. Tuition cost for the summer camp is FREE after the $40.00 registration NON_REFUNDABLE FEE is paid. Lunch is provided. Kindergarten students MUST be at least 5 years old to be admitted to the program. Students may ONLY register for no more than TWOsummer sessions. If your child's grade is not available for the session you want that means that class is full and we will not be accepting any more students in that class. If the child is doing two sessions please select the grade he/she is leaving for the first week and the grade they are going to for the second week. (For example, I have a child going to 6th grade next year so I will select 5-session 1 and 6-session 2). Each child must be registered on a separate form.
