Able to rap, sing, and write songs that have everyone from John Legend to Roots Manuva singing her praises, U.K. MC Estelle got her start in London's renowned hip-hop record store Deal Real. Her fellow employees encouraged her to take a chance and get on the mike on-stage; soon she was playing numerous London clubs and appearing with the likes of Manuva and Rodney P. Local hero Skitz asked her to appear on his 2000 album, Countryman, and soon she landed on albums by the likes of the 57th Dynasty and Blak Twang. She made her solo debut in 2003 with the Excuse Me 12" on the Paradise Isle label, but her breakthrough track came in 2004 when 1980 was released by the V2 label. A street-level mixtape series called Da Heat and further 12"s like Free and Go Gone helped build a loyal following, and Estelle gave back to the U.K. hip-hop scene by forming her own Stellarents label to sign new artists. Late in 2004 V2 released her debut album, The 18th Day, which made a big impact in the U.K. In 2007 U.S. R&B singer John Legend announced that Estelle would be the first signee to his Homeschool label, distributed by Atlantic. Leading the pack of several British Neo-Soul singers such as Adele and Duffy, Estelle rose to prominence with her 2004 debut, The 18th Day. The London native, exploded onto the singles charts in 2004 with her hot tracks "1980" and "Free". The success led to a MOBO Award for Best Newcomer and the chance to work with Kanye West and David Guetta. Estelle garnered international fame with her sophomore album, Shine, released in 2008. The album featured the hit single, "American Boy", featuring Kanye West and was named by Rolling Stone magazine as the seventh best song of 2008. The single earned her three nominations at the 51st Grammy Awards including a win for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration.
Estelle released her third album, All of Me, in 2011. The single featured collaborations with Robin Thicke, Rick Ross, and production help by David Guetta. Estelle has been on the road promoting the album ever since its release. Currently on tour, this R&B sensation will be visiting a venue near you this 2011. ICAL (short for iCalendar) is a standard calendar format that allows you to transfer events from one calendar to another via an .ics file format. An .ics file can have a single event or a list of events. You can download the .ics file and import it into your calendar for a snapshot of the data or you can subscribe and let your calendar program update the event data in your calendar automatically.
CSV
CSV (short for "comma-separated values") is a simple data format that many programs, such as Microsoft Excel, use for importing and exporting data.
You can import a list of events into Microsoft Outlook, Yahoo! Calendar, and other tools by using this CSV file.
RSS
RSS is a regularly updated summary of events that can be viewed through an RSS reader, along with links to full versions of events. When you subscribe to an RSS feed of events, you'll receive a summary of new events through your RSS reader. When you click on an RSS button, your browser may display a page of web code; if this happens, review your reader's documentation on how to subscribe to an RSS feed.
RSS readers are as numerous as the stars on a clear night during a concert at the park. To find a reader, try Google or ask your friends what they use.
