Getting Paid to Talk -- An Introduction to Voice-Over

In 2011, Ted Williams was a homeless man standing on highway exit ramps begging for money in Columbus, Ohio. A TV news interview about his "golden voice" went viral, and today Williams is a well-paid voice-over artist for such national brands as Kraft Foods. Have you been told that you have a great voice? From audio books and cartoons to documentaries, commercials and more, numerous opportunities exist to get paid for using that voice. This two-hour class will introduce you to the ever-growing field of voice-over work. Learn what the pros look for, how to prepare, and where to find work in your area. Hear the ins and outs of the industry so you can navigate it with ease, as well as actual recorded samples from working professionals. You'll also have an opportunity to record a short professional script under the direction of your instructor, with feedback.
