Award-winning automotive television series MotorWeek will host its second annual MotorWeek Golf Tournament on Monday, June 18 at Eagles Nest Country Club in Phoenix, MD. The event will feature appearances by the show’s on-air talent and a showcase of classic and exotic cars. Golfers will have the opportunity to take home prizes through traditional golf contests such as hole-in-one, longest drive, and closest to the pin challenges as well as a raffle. For more information and to register visit mpt.org/events.

Tickets cost $150 for individual golfers and $550 for a foursome. Registration includes contest prizes, greens fees, cart fees, and range balls. Breakfast, lunch, snacks on the course, and refreshments including beer are also provided. The event begins with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.

The 18-hole championship golf course at Eagles Nest Country Club, designed by Geoffrey Cornish, is located near the Loch Raven Watershed in Baltimore County. Dawn redwoods and sycamores frame the landscape, accented by streams, ponds, and bunkers that challenge all levels of golfers. Yardages for the par 72 course range from 6,719 from the championship tees to 5,598 from the forward tees.

Tournament sponsorship opportunities remain available at multiple levels. For details, visit this link.

A production of Maryland Public Television (MPT), MotorWeek is television’s longest running automotive series. The series debuted in 1981 and launched a new television genre by becoming the first weekly series to offer consumer-oriented car and truck reviews, do-it-yourself car care tips, and the latest auto industry news. Now in its 37th season, MotorWeek is seen weekly on PBS stations nationwide, Discovery’s Velocity channel, and internationally via Voice of America television. For more information, visit MotorWeek’s website, YouTube channel, iTunes library, and social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Proceeds from the MotorWeek Golf Tournament benefit MPT Foundation, Inc. A private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation, the MPT Foundation was established in 1981 to encourage increased funding for MPT and to receive donations and grants on MPT’s behalf. Events such as this provide funding for MPT to offer valued programs plus educational, outreach, telecommunications, and virtual initiatives that touch the lives of tens of thousands of Marylanders annually.
